For more than two decades, Dr. Jae Gul Seo has looked closely at something most of us never think about: the iris. As Korea's first certified specialist in naturopathic medicine, he has made iris observation part of his clinical practice since 2006, recording thousands of iris images alongside his patients' wellness journeys.
That experience is now the foundation of Velio: Eye Knows You, a new AI wellness app that turns your smartphone camera into a simple daily check-in. No special equipment, no blood tests. Just take a photo of your eyes.
How Velio works
- Eyeris – AI iris wellness check: Photograph both eyes and Velio gives you a wellness score out of 100, plus easy lifestyle tips on stress, hydration, and digestion. Those tips connect to a simple daily plan for meals and movement.
- Floris – cycle calendar: Log your cycle and get guidance on nutrition and exercise based on Dr. Seo's 4-Type approach.
- Just for fun: Try an eye-pattern personality test, or compare results with family and friends with Eye Matching.
The app supports both English and Korean.
Built by a Korea–U.S. team
Velio is a joint project led by Pomocura Inc. (California), which handles publishing and North American operations. Pomona Clinic in Seoul, led by Dr. Seo, provides clinical R&D and wellness guidance, and Rhodos Consulting Group develops the AI engine and the iOS and Android apps.
Why it matters
Dr. Seo has always believed that true wellness begins with paying attention to your body every day. Velio makes that habit easier: a quick look at how you're doing, without a clinic visit, and a gentle nudge toward better daily choices. It's also something families can do together, with adult children checking in alongside their parents.
When can I try it?
Velio is targeting a global launch in Q1 2027. To learn more and stay updated, visit pomocura.com.
